После перезагрузки область записи очищается, и перед пользоватедвам предстает абсолютно чистая система. Можно устанавливать различные программы, запускать вирусы, изменять системные настройки или удалять системные файлы и записи списока: после перезагрузки не останется и следа от внесенных изменений. Чтобы войти в панель управления программой, нужно удержать клавишу Shift и дважды щелкнуть правой клавишей мыши на иконке Deep Freeze в системном трее.
